Sound designer, technician and musician based in the Clare Valley
I’m Andrew Graue. I work across sound for film and television, personally operated sound for live events, and music.
Based near Auburn in South Australia’s Clare Valley - around 90 minutes north of Adelaide - I work with clients locally and across the state. Whether I’m shaping a film soundtrack or making sure every word can be heard at an event, my approach is the same: thoughtful, reliable sound that supports what is happening without getting in the way.
Sound for screen
I have more than a decade of professional experience in sound design, dialogue editing, sound effects editing and mixing for feature films, documentaries, television, commercials and corporate content.
Selected credits include Monolith, Stackorama! and Awoken. I’ve worked closely with production companies, agencies, producers, filmmakers and other creatives, and previously owned and operated a video production company. From 2011 to 2020, I also managed the Hendon Studios film and post-production facilities.
I enjoy taking a project from raw material to a detailed, finished soundtrack - cleaning and shaping dialogue, creating atmospheres, editing effects, crafting Foley and bringing everything together in the mix.
Event sound
Alongside my screen work, I provide practical, personally operated event sound throughout the Clare Valley and Mid North.
I supply, set up and operate PA systems for speeches, presentations, panels, ceremonies and community events. The system is matched to the venue and audience, without making things more complicated than they need to be.
You’ll deal directly with me from the first enquiry through to the event itself.
Music
Sound and music have always been closely connected in my work. I also perform as Andrew J Music, combining acoustic guitar, vocals and live looping.
For suitable events, live acoustic music and event sound can be quoted together.
